Assembly of lock to furniture- Barrel (3) is assembled to drawer,
and held in place with hex nut. Bolt (2) is inserted in hole in side of
barrel. Proper key is then inserted into plug (4), which is inserted into
barrel, where spring actuated crescent (5) engages groove in barrel. Plug
is now firmly locked into barrel.
Disassembly of lock - To remove plug for replacement, proper key
is inserted into plug (4) which is then turned 90 degrees. When hole in
face of plug lines up with spline in barrel, a1/16" diameter wire is
inserted through hole. Crescent (5) is depressed as in (1) allowing plug
(4) to be removed.
New style locks have an ARROW on the back side of the housing which must point up when installating. The flat t-bar is stamped FRONT, and must face the front of the cam lock when assembling. Incorrect assembly can result in an unusable lock - we cannot warrant incorrect installation.
