Multi-point locking system. The outside hinge bar is coupled with a red inner slide bar that interlocks with a specially designed locking lug hinge at every drawer opening when in the locked position. The multiple locking system eliminates torque found in devices that lock at top and bottom only. A slight upward motion of the red inner slide bar releases all lock points, the built-in spring loaded hinge swings clear of all openings. With Multi-Lock you have clearance for unrestricted access to adjacent files locked or unlocked.

Simple Installation

Multi-Lock file cabinet locking bar can be installed without opening the file or distributing its contents - in a matter of minutes. Can be installed with blind rivets, or with sheet metal screws provided.

Drill upper screw hole (#20 or .161 diameter) 2-3/8" down and 1/4" over from upper drawer opening.
Insert and set screw to hold bar in place.
Use hinge as locators for other holes.
Drive screws home while keeping hinges firmly in place against file.
Slide bar can be reversed to permit installation on either right, or left side of file. Supplied for standard left side installation.
Accommodates a padlock with shackle size up to 5/16".
