Texas Sales Tax

  • In accordance with Texas law, MrLock.com collects sales tax on any order shipped within Texas Borders. 
  • The current tax rate for hardware purchases, labor charges, and shipping (freight, delivery, or postage) is 8.25% and is taxed according to the State of Texas taxation laws. 
  • Customers shipping orders outside Texas borders should remit the appropriate taxes to their local authorities, Mr. Lock will not bill you for out-of-state tax - Mr. Lock only collects Texas Sales Tax.

Texas Resellers and Tax Exempt Entities - Tax Exempt entities For resellers, and tax-exempt entities who do not want to be charged Texas sales tax, please fax or email us a copy of your TEXAS State Exemption Certificate to Fax: (817) 571-1991 -

In order to purchase materials online tax exempt - Create a login id using your email address and let us know you would like to purchase tax exempt. Once we have your login email, and your tax exempt certificate, we can set up your ordering id to purchase materials tax exempt.

Create Login ID - click register new account, if you have not done so in the past.

We must have the exemption certificate PRIOR to completing your sale, otherwise tax is non-refundable. If you determine you need a tax credit after the sale, you may request a tax refund from the state of Texas, please visit Texas Tax Refunds for more details.

If Mr. Lock is shipping an order within Texas borders, we must have a valid Texas resale certificate to remove state sales tax, even if you are located out of state.

At this time we only need a resale certificate if we are shipping within the State of Texas. No tax is collected on out-of-state shipments.
